a bad lookbook is forever.

So says my friend Kurt. And Andy. They both say it.

When you see the new lookbook, you are going to have to wipe saliva off your keyboard. (I could be a teensy bit biased...) I've seen the first layouts, and they are fantastic.

The pain of being kept waiting for the lookbook? It'll be gone in sixty seconds. But the pain from a bad lookbook, one that is hurried and sloppy? That's forever.

We are going to have a small number of lookbooks printed, mostly for local yarn shops and their customers. The digital version will be available with a nifty e-zine viewer, where you can turn pages, zoom in and out, and interact with images more than you've been able to in the past.

If I know you as well as I think I do, some of you are going to want a printed copy. You don't have an LYS that carries our yarn near you, or you're one of those people who likes to physically hold something in your hand.

We need to know if there's enough interest to make the printed version available to the public. If we were to print them, we would have a pre-sale so we would know how many copies to make. (As it turns out, my hubs does not want 1,000 extra copies of the lookbook in our basement! Fancy that!) The cost for the printed edition would be in the neighborhood of $5, but you would also receive a $5 coupon to use on any future order. (Lookbooks, it turns out, are quite expensive to print!)

What say you? (This is not a commitment to buy anything, just an interest survey.)

I like a lookbook. There is no way to tell how many times I've downloaded your current book and agonized/wondered/loved/lusted over the yarns. Yes. I vote YES. And a $5 return coupon is awfully nice of you.

Absolutely need a lookbook! A nice bonus is that I can take it around & show my friends who otherwise wouldn't be looking up yarn on the net:)

I won't need a printed copy. I'd just like to drool all over my keyboard while I wait for the mail to arrive! I am so excited! Yarn! Fall colors! New patterns!

Yes! A printed lookbook would be lovely. And the $5 is very reasonable. I'd pay.

if i had a b&m i would be all over the lookbook, but as it is the e-zine is good for me

I'd buy it! My pattern is in it so I'd love it for my portfolio. And I can show it off to my LYS in person!

I'm with Jaia...I'd love a copy for my portfolio!

If I can afford it, I'll buy it. I know it's a small sum but we live with a small income. Luckily, it will be accessible online. Yeh.

I'd love to get a Lookbook because it will show the colorways better. My monitor tends to be dark and I can't get it to go any lighter so seeing it on paper, which I like to do anyway, would be great.

I started to read this entry and was afraid it was going to cost something to get the Lookbook. Thank you for keeping it free. I, like everyone else, am waiting with a worm on my tongue (with baited breath). (Heh, I love that one.)

I'd love a printed copy, but that's mostly because this time some of my work will be in it, and I'd love to be able to show off a professionally printed copy of it! :-)

I would definitely want a printed copy!

Oh darn all you with your "portfolio" reminders. I was going to be fine with the electronic version. Now I have to rethink. . .

id buy it without a coupon in it!

Of course I must have a hard copy! I will need to share it.

I would *love* a physical LookBook that I could pore over! And I agree, the coupon is very kind of you.

Oh yes! I would LOVE it - I have a lot of friends who are going to have items in it ;)
(maybe I could take it SS'11 and get it signed by some of them...)

I would gladly purchase one:)

Actually, after my initial response I realize that I will need two Look Books! One to keep in pristine condition and cherish as an Art Book and one to actually drool over and share with friends who will likely do the same thing.

Hey, that was me that said that! Well, actually I paraphrased Shigeru Miyamoto...

What? Do I have Alzheimer's disease?

I'd like a lookbook! Sometimes my monitor doesn't show the colors accurately.
