A tale of woe.

Woe is me.

We had such a terrible day at work today. Completely devoid of cheer. Woe woe woe.

We had a horrible cookie exchange. Just awful.

These were unspeakable. Who wants to eat my old family recipes, anyway? Not I.

I mean, really. Come on. Who likes peanut butter and chocolate together? Honestly.

And what exactly would one celebrate with these?  A wedding in Mexico?

And aren't these just the dreariest things you've ever seen?

Have I said woe yet? I have? Oh.

Woe to you, ginger fig truffles and peppercorn caramels.

The peanut butter cups wrapped neatly in waxed paper? Hideous. And inedible.

So inedible, in fact, that I could only eat five of them. They were that bad.

And we had to wash them down with coffee and milk. To cover up the taste of woe.

After such a downer of a morning, I decided to try and spice things up a bit.

I've decided to periodically offer sale pricing on one randomly selected colorway. The catch is that only the first 20 skeins sold will get the 20% off, so you have to hurry.

Today's sale is on Flynn:

Click here to grab some. Perhaps this will prevent me from descending into the depths of despair with the four dozen cookies now in my kitchen. Help.

Well, you could send some of the peanut butter cups or squares to me. I don't think I'm feeling woe-ful enough this holiday season. No. Seriously. On the other hand, some yummy homemade peanut butter cups may just do the trick. ;)

I'll take some of the sugary evil off your hands. We don't want our Yarnsita to be full of woe.

You always make me laugh. The Dairy Bars looked good - I think Dad would like it if I would dust off my domestic mantle and make some of those. But then you would come over to find us all sitting motionless in semi-comatose states, eyes glazed over, with our pancreases toiling away unhappily inside of us.

I think I would also like some of those woeful goodies. The peppercorn ones sound right up my alley.

Merry Christmas to all of you at Three Irish Girls!

We had the same woeful day. Only ours had rum cake too!

If there's any left over after you send them to Summer, I'll take...er...PROTECT you from the peanut butter cups. And anything else that combines chocolate and peanut butter. I mean, who would really LIKE such a crazy combination?

That's some swanky cookie exchange you have going on there. Yummy delights! Sorry they filled you with woe, in several filling ways. I'm sure you'll experience more woe in the next few weeks. Let me just say, "Go for woe!" Happy Holidays!!

Can I work there too? I have this strange and morbid enjoyment of woe. That and I'd have to throwdown a pastry challenge. ;) But seriously, can I work there too? *bats eyes*

so sorry that you had to suffer so much - I'm just as noble as the others who are willing to take the woe off your hands, especially the woe involving chocolate!
