*time's up!* I want you to have this.
*Time's up!* Winner will be announced shortly...
Really, I want each and every one of you to have this.
Unfortunately, I don't have 30,000 of them, I only have one.
It's a rainbow mini skein set. One ounce each of our nine new spring colorways: Brandy Alexander, Cosmo, Mimosa, Creamsicle, Mojito, Agua Vida, Curaçao, Ice Blue Raspberry, and Passion Punch. That's 2-1/4 skeins of yarn.
These sets are pretty irresistible, and the possibilities are endless. You can use them to make stripes, you can use just a couple of colorways together at a time, you can use them for trim, for contrasting heels and toes, or for a project that requires small blocks of color.
I would LOVE to see a log cabin pillow top, or a chevron scarf with skinny color changes. I would ADORE seeing a sweet striped sweater for a little one. It would THRILL me if someone made these into knee socks or a stocking cap.
The set I'm giving away is dyed on Springvale Sport, which can be knit like a heavy fingering weight for socks, or as a true sport weight for sweaters and scarves and such. It's delishy and squishy.
Don't mind me and my made up adjectives.
These sets are currently available only through retailers, but here's your chance to win one.
To enter, please leave a comment describing what you would do with this set if you won. I will use a random number generator to select a winner tomorrow, Wednesday, May 26th, at 1:00 pm, Central Time. The winner will be posted here. One entry per person, please.
Good luck!

Right now I imagine the most fabulous mismatched knee high socks. This would most likely change about 17 times before I arrived at the perfect project, as is always the case.
I would make tiny little booties and tiny little mittens for the tiny little babies I take care of in the NICU. (Somtimes we have to cover their tiny little hands so they don't pull on their important tubes and wires!) We have many volunteer organizations that make yarn items for our patients............but NOTHING in the dynamic colors you offer!!!!
I would make Noni Grow-veralls for my daughter! I have been thinking about knitting these but have not found the right mix, this would be awesome! heehee
i would make a pair of striped socks ---for me ---because i have never knitted a pair of socks for me before!
Oh... I'm thinking that would make a wonderful rainbow scarf of some sort.
I would definitely use some of it for my sock yarn blankie, but with that much yarn, I suspect a baby sweater or some stripey socks would be in order too. :D
I would either knit it into a wrap sweater for my eldest daughter or a pinafore using my new pattern that is designed for rainbow stripes.
I would give them to my wife and she could make anything she wants out of them :D The colors are simply amazing btw!
I'd love to experiment and see what delicious things would fall off the needles with these yarns.
I would spend some time fawning and oogling these beauties....and then I would knit a stocking cap to use in the Minnesota winter!
I'd make either a toddler'sTulips cardi http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Izamight/tulips-a-colorful-cardigan-for-baby
or a mitered baby blanket http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Izamight/jennies-mitered-baby-blanket
Great accents for a baby blanket!!
I would knit a blanket for my little girl who will be spending some time in the hospital later this year. It would make a perfect cuddly blanket.
I would make a sweater for a small person (my almost 2 yr old who is opening and closing doors at this moment) or a blanket for said same small person who is filled with nonsense.
This colorful lovely yarn must become never fading knit flower bouquets for the wonderful women in my life!
ooooh, I think I would probably keep it in a basket and pet it for a while...and then find the perfect scarf pattern and make something glorious!
i just learned to knit, so i'd probably make something un-incredible like a pot holder or a crooked scarf and be pleased as punch about it!
That set is just dying to be a stripey sweater for my sweet daughter!
I have no idea what I would knit with it. I think for the first few days I would just carry it with me every where I went and show it all to all the people I meet. Yep - it's too pretty not to share with the world!!
Oh actually this is what I would do. I would knit bibs for a really sweet physically and mentally challenged girl I know. She is about 4 or 5 years old, much to old to be wearing "baby bibs". She needs something bright and sassy!
my bestie is having twins this fall so i can see some sort of coordinating stripe-y hats for the girls! and maybe matching little booties. such beautiful yarn!
