*time's up!* I want you to have this.
*Time's up!* Winner will be announced shortly...
Really, I want each and every one of you to have this.
Unfortunately, I don't have 30,000 of them, I only have one.
It's a rainbow mini skein set. One ounce each of our nine new spring colorways: Brandy Alexander, Cosmo, Mimosa, Creamsicle, Mojito, Agua Vida, Curaçao, Ice Blue Raspberry, and Passion Punch. That's 2-1/4 skeins of yarn.
These sets are pretty irresistible, and the possibilities are endless. You can use them to make stripes, you can use just a couple of colorways together at a time, you can use them for trim, for contrasting heels and toes, or for a project that requires small blocks of color.
I would LOVE to see a log cabin pillow top, or a chevron scarf with skinny color changes. I would ADORE seeing a sweet striped sweater for a little one. It would THRILL me if someone made these into knee socks or a stocking cap.
The set I'm giving away is dyed on Springvale Sport, which can be knit like a heavy fingering weight for socks, or as a true sport weight for sweaters and scarves and such. It's delishy and squishy.
Don't mind me and my made up adjectives.
These sets are currently available only through retailers, but here's your chance to win one.
To enter, please leave a comment describing what you would do with this set if you won. I will use a random number generator to select a winner tomorrow, Wednesday, May 26th, at 1:00 pm, Central Time. The winner will be posted here. One entry per person, please.
Good luck!

I think I'd make oodles of baby sets, playing with stripes and colour combinations til it all ran out and then I'd be tempted to do more.
Ahh a scrumbler's delight. Not a dessert, a type of freeform crochet. I can see all those lovely cocktail colors becoming bullions and basking on a neutral grid shawl background.
Has anybody mention just adore them for a while until they communiate what they want to become....
sigh.

Sharon you really are a genuis
I would make some beautiful socks for my daughter!
I have lots of babies to knit for, since it seems everyone I know is expecting. I see this as a stripey baby sweater, or maybe a little carseat-sized log cabin blankie :)
They're too beautiful as a rainbow together so there's no way I'd be able to split them up -- I'm thinking some fabulously bright mittens for a rainbow in winter and/or very cheery kid toys.
What would I do with the set if I won? I would drool on it, obviously. Make it all gooey and slimy.
Then I'd wash it gently and make into seriously awesome socks.
Gorgeous colors! I'm too spellbound to decide what I'd make with them yet, but I have been thinking about log cabin squares lately... maybe that would be the starting point.... Thanks so much for the chance to win!!!
Definately something in stockinette... then again the garter stitch surprise jacket.... then again socks...or..... or..... or....
They are so beautiful!!!!! So many options.
I would make my first pair of colourwork mittens. And they would be for ME. Ha.
I have been trying to think about what I would make. I'm not sure exactly...but I would like to make something for my mother. She is a beautiful woman and I want to make her something pretty. She cherishes an afghan that my Aunt made over 30 years ago. It is looking a bit ragged and my son has claimed it as his. I think it is time a new one was made.
A summer jumper for my grand daughter Natalie.
dipped infinity scarf would be perfect for this!
My grandaughter loves stripey socks, so I would use it to make her some fabulous rainbow stripey socks
OOHHH! They're so PRETTY!! And I got a little thirsty reading all the names!
I'd either crochet a patchwork pillow with them or maybe a stripy sweater for my baby niece.
I just made a "Twirly Skirt for my friends 4 year old granddaughter, I know she would love another one in these luscious colors!
After simply admiring these for probably WAAAYY too long, I would love to make the chevron scarf you suggest - I'm starting a new job in a couple of weeks and this would be a fabulous way to celebrate. :-)
I think this would make a fantastic Baby Surprise Jacket. And I have a couple babies I could put one of those on...
definitely something in the round and transitioning one into the other--must be a hat, a slouchy beret to spread the colors out. LOVE all your colors.
