It's comforting.
Friday, October 21, 2011 at 10:30PM It's comforting to know that a post I wrote more than two years ago is still 100% true. In September of 2009, I found seven things that I knew for sure.
And I still know them now. But now, they're like for sure for sure. For sure.
Here's what really know, deep down, and have for years now.
1. I was uncool long before being uncool was cool.
2. Pale is the new tan.
3. I need constant supervision.
4. Cooking and cleaning are for people who haven't discovered knitting yet.
5. A morning without coffee is like... something...without something else...
6. Chocolate is proof that God loves me and wants me to be happy.
7. People from Massachusetts do not find it amusing when you yell, "Where'd ya PAHK? Over near HAHVAHD YAHD?"
Just thought you'd like to know.

To realize that I remember that original post and that you and your yarns have been a part of my life for that long means a couple of things; you have created a brand following that rivals retailers like Macy's and that along the way you became a friend. More than that, it means if you were to repost this again in 10 or 20 years, for me it would still be true.

Heh, I remember this post too. I am uncool, I need constant supervision, and cooking and cleaning are boring (well, the cleaning is). I love chocolate and coffee. We're practically sisters!
Substitute tea in where your post says coffee, and we're on the same page. Did I post that two years ago? That felt very familiar (part of my being uncool, I'm sure ;) )
We are now part of the "cool kids" group - you must not have gotten the memo.
Amen, sister! I'm with you on every one of those. My grandmother was from Revere, Mass. We were terrible kids who used to tease her about her accent. She was not amused. More coffee, more chocolate! What housecleaning? I have gloves to make. :)

I definitely agree with the coffee comment, but sometimes a homemade sour cream coffee cake is better than chocolate!!!
