guess what i made?
Yarn.
A charming baby girl.
A wooden photo backdrop.
Just to give credit where credit is due, lest I hear about it in the morning:
-- I had my husband buy the boards.
-- I had Boy Aaron make them into pallets. (Or as we like to call them, Zombie Apocalypse Emergency Rafts)
-- I painted many layers of Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint and then distressed them to add interesting texture.
Guess what else I made?
A kindergartner.
And yarn.
An eight year old.
Some things in Photoshop having to do with yarn. And yarn, actual yarn.
A giant ten year old, who is almost as tall as his teacher (5'4"), and who eats everything in sight. Apparently it requires a lot of caloric intake to grow a 6'9" skeleton and the muscles to support it.
6'9" is just an estimate. He is in the 140th percentile for height.
The horsedog? That I did not grow. I am only her adoptive mother.
The final boxes for our Fall Premiere Weekend are heading out in the morning! We did it!

Your ten year old is significantly taller than I am... (Let's face it, your horse dog probably is as well....)
Can't wait to see all the new yarn! I like to think of you as the Willy Wonka of yarn....big fan of your talent!
You have the most beautiful children! I hope to have your photography skills someday. :-) And the yarn. Well, suffice it to say I am so so excited to see what you've come up with again.
I second Sherri and Janet! Your children are gorgeous, as are you yourself! And your yarn....well it is like cocaine, and I am a severe addict.
Sharon, you make all kinds of gorgeous!!!
I think everything you make is gorgeous! Can't wait to see the new collection!!!
That's an impressive portfolio of cuteness...
I think the dog and the yarn are nice, but the four children are true masterpieces. xxoo
Your posts are always great fun and bring joy to all who read them! Looking forward to seeing the new colors.
You are justifiably proud! (Also witty, and creative, and very, very entertaining.) And you deserve a huge pat on the back.
Well done -- very, very well done!!
Well I gotta tell ya, you make (and adopt) very beautiful items to add color and spunk to the world.
Yarnista's Mama has it right.
Those are seriously beautiful children.
Shut the door...did you *really* take those pictures?? You've always been a great photographer, but WOW. You've taken portraiture to a whole new level with these! As for the marvelousness of your DNA...let the photos speak for themselves, because words do not suffice. Nicely done, Sharon. Nicely done all around.
I did take the pics -- thank you kindly! :D
the dress is so beautiful .
