So... My last name happens to be Curran. As in the yarn colorway of your's that contains 2!! of my favorite colors.

I found that a wicked amusing.

Needless to say I'm planning on buying a bunch.

Ah you're evil for doing a sale now...anyway I probably won't be able to resist buying some so I'm going to need a little advice here.
I'd like to knit Cherie Amour (Knitty Fall 2007) but I have no idea what 3IG yarn I could use for that project sooo...help :)

Carolina, I would recommend our Riddermark Merino for the Cherie Amour pattern. It'll be a fun, quick knit! :)

Thanks for the quick answer :) Now: Let the sales begin ;)

I love my namesake (Kelly) but I have no idea what I would make with it. I like small things like socks / hats / mittens, etc. Is it self-striping, or will the colors pool? As someone with a slight case of OCD, I don't really like uncontrolled pooling... but I do love the colors... Oh Yarnista, what would you suggest?

Kelly, how the yarn will pool totally depends on what you're knitting. the gauge of the yarn, the size of the needles, whether you're knitting in the round or back and forth, the circumference/width of the item, and whether you're using a stitch pattern or not. :)

It's also possible to create semi solid skeins of all the individual components of the Kelly colorway, if you wanted to knit something guaranteed to stripe. (You could then knit the stripes yourself and still call the colorway Kelly.)

If you like more random patterning in your yarn, you can always divide the skein in half and alternate between the two resulting balls as you're knitting -- this keeps the colors mixing.

Or, a third option is to get semi solid colors and hold them together and knit with them. (Say, the teal, yellow, olive, and aqua). If you used a fingering weight yarn, you'd end up with about a worsted weight holding four strands together. That would also guarantee no pooling. :)

Hope this helps!
