time's up! How does this make you feel?

How does this picture make you feel?

Happy? Hypoglycemic?

Twitchy? Tragic?

Wistful? Wishy-washy?

What?

Tell you what: you leave a comment here telling me how this picture makes you feel, and I'll enter you in a drawing for a skein of one of our new fall colorways.

No, I can't post a picture of it -- it will ruin the surprise!

Really, I cannot.

You have until Thursday morning at 10:00 Central Time to enter. I will draw a winner at random, and send you a skein of yarn for free, no catch.

Just because. Because I am a nice Yarnista.

Can't wait to read your responses!

P.S. I'm looking for two little boys to model for our fall catalog: one should be a size 6-9 months, and the other a 2T-3T.  Free 8x10 prints for mama in exchange for your help. It will not take long, I promise!

P.S.S. Workshop and trunk show this Sunday at The Yarn Spot in Wheaton, MD! The workshop is full, but the trunk show is free and open to everyone -- it will run from 4-6 pm.

P.S.S.S. (Who does P.S.S.S.'s? Me? Only me?) I'm having a workshop here at the studio on October 30th! Watch this space for more details, or drop me a line using the Contact Us button if you're interested.

Happy and excited. I see a cold winter's day with a perfect blue sky and ice-frost on the trees.

It makes me feel warm, like a hug.

Longing for that first day of snow when the smell of frost is in the air, the air is chilly and full of expectations.

Chilly. Makes me think of a cold winter day!

Nostalgic -- thinking about winters when I was little.

Definitely wistful. And then a little thankful that we won't need mittens here . . .

Want. It. Now. (Says the squirrel, because winter is approaching.) Wants. It. Now. Preciousss. (That would be me for the yarn.)

Chilly! Ready for that time of year when I can wear all my handknits (and not so handknits) and be all snuggly warm!

Cold

This picture makes me feel like I need to pick up my needles and knit with even more fall and winter items! This time of year is great for knitting, and I can't wait to get home and get back to the cable pullover I just started. And maybe start another hat, or mittens, or scarf, or cowl...you get the idea!

Cold - the weather's turning where I live, my office is cold, I'm drinking lots of tea, and that blue looks just like an icicle.

Brr!

I think I'll go drink another cup of hot tea now.

warm inside on a cold winter night

Peaceful, and maybe a bit envious. I'm ready for winter, but it just doesn't mean the same thing in TX as it did in MI-OH-PA-IN.

It makes me feel ebullient! Bring on winter, I say. No more prolonged heat waves and sweating all the time. The snow gets shovelled by the guy across the road, I have snow tires, and I can wear hats and mittens to my heart's content. And socks. So what's not to love about the promise of winter? Bring it on, I say.

Content. That's a particularly happy shade of turquoise.

Quiet. Because I found that lovely pinecone while walking on a soft cushion of pine needles in the woods.
