This gorgeous pine cone ready for decorating makes me feel giggly. It's probably a leftover from my childhood when my mom would send us kids out to get pine cones and evergreen branches for decorating. We knew what was coming-Christmas! Gathering pine cones meant wonderful smells and colorful decor and cookies! Yummy!
Comfortable Joy!
It makes me miss Chicago, where it's already cooling down. It's still in the 80s here in the deep south that is South Carolina. Makes me hate the economy even more for forcing the move.

Homesick. It reminds me of leaf piles and clear September blue skies in Minnesota. Crisp mornings and warm afternoons where you start out in your mittens and sweater and end up in a t-shirt. Walking to school and smelling the musty smell of the swamp as I shuffle through the fallen leaves.
Happy that fall and winter is on the way!
